MacNIX, by LIST SpA, is a program which allows you to connect a Mac to a Mac II running A/UX and create a login shell on the Mac. In this way, you have access to both the UNIX operating system and the Macintosh Operating System. You can pop back and forth between Mac applications and the UNIX shell, so, for instance, you could use "UNIX in a Nutshell for HyperCard" while logged in to UNIX. This would allow you to have instant access to information about UNIX while executing actual UNIX programs in another window.
